James grew up alongside his grandfather, assisting him with the maintenance of his rental properties from a young age. During high school, he undertook the ambitious task of constructing his very own house through the Boces program. This early exposure to crafting something unique from scratch ignited his fascination with the construction industry.

James’ journey continued as he joined a custom builder, gaining experience in the trade and honing his skills. Additionally, he took on framing projects for various builders in the local vicinity. Through a process of trial and error, James acquired insights into best practices which brought James to the realization of where he wanted to land within his career. Distinguishing between builders driven by passion and those seeking quick completion, motivated James to uphold high standards and approach his work with dedication.

After dedicating 25 years to commercial construction following a shift from residential projects, a pivotal moment arose in 2020. His partner Crista and he undertook the construction of their personal custom home. This endeavor illuminated a gap in and around their community— a lack of quality craftsmanship. Recognizing this void, James and Crista seized the opportunity to combine their expertise and establish their own construction business.

Their philosophy centers on hands-on involvement and transparency. They eschew shortcuts that compromise quality for convenience. By engaging in much of the work themselves, they ensure careful oversight and maintain the caliber of their offerings. James’ perfectionism nature leads him to prioritize durability, often exceeding necessary standards to instill confidence in the longevity of their work. Rather than striving for the minimum warranty period, they aspire for their clients’ homes to endure for generations.

James is unwavering in his commitment to delivering superior craftsmanship over others in the industry. Collaboratively working towards perfection, James pledge’s that their customer’s residence will be their forever home. At the age of five, she witnessed her parents construct their very first home from scratch, an experience that ignited her lifelong passion for design and architecture. Despite Crista’s professional journey leading her into the corporate realm of Human Resources and Payroll, her affection for design and hands-on creativity never waned. Crista is also a third-generation painter and finds profound tranquility and fulfillment in the art of painting.

When the moment arrived to embark on her own entrepreneurial venture, Crista embraced the opportunity to start a business with unwavering enthusiasm, leaping in with both feet and leaving no room for hesitation. Over the years, Crista has earned a reputation for shattering boundaries, and this, combined with her dedication for the trade, compelled her to venture into business as a trailblazing woman within the industry. Her endeavor carries a twofold purpose: to become a successful entrepreneur in this industry as well as to carve a path for her children that exemplifies the principle that “the limit to your success is only within the limits YOU set for yourself”.
